Skyspecs is excited to announce the release of a new feature for our customers who upload inspections to our platform. Previously, we had two sub-tabs under our main Inspections tab. These were called: Inspections and Inspection Uploads.
However, in an effort to streamline our processes, we have now combined the Inspections and Inspection uploads sub-tabs to create a single Inspections sub-tab.
Previously, users would create an inspection via the Inspection Upload sub-tab, upload photos and metadata to it, and then process this data, thereby moving all information into the Inspections sub-tab. However, with this new sub-tab where the former are merged, you will see an "Actions" button. This will allow you to create a single inspection or multiple inspections. Once the inspection(s) is created (you may need to wait and refresh the tab for it to appear), you will open the inspection and will see functionality to upload either just photos or photos AND metadata.
There are also some additional minor UI updates in addition to this. When opening a complete inspection, you will find another “Actions” button. This will allow you to review images, hide photos without observations, and hide file names.
Additionally, hitting the “Edit” button will allow you to modify your inspections as you were able to previously, but by hitting the Edit button AND selecting the check box beside a specific image, you can then hit Actions once more and find additional capabilities! Hitting “Edit Selected” will enable you to edit the blade and blade sides of all those that are selected, or to delete those files. Selecting the Edit button without checking next to any of the file names will only allow you to Upload images and Upload Data Files.
The actual process of uploading an inspection is not any different and these are mainly UI changes created with the purpose of reducing the number of buttons for ease of use. The user guide should be updated to reflect these updates, but please do not be afraid to reach out if there is confusion or if you have questions.
