This support article will show you how to fill out a Work Log and how to edit an existing work log in Horizon.
What is a Work Log?
A work log is a way to capture activity data related to repair work performed for any given Campaign, Work Order or Task. Multiple work logs can be entered per Campaign, Work Order or Task but only one Work Log can be filled out at a time.
Adding a new Work Log
To locate, select the intended Work Order (in this example) and under the "Description" section click on the arrow pointing to Work Logs on the left-hand side to expand this view.
To add a new Work Log, simply click on the "+Add Log" button in blue on the right-hand side of the Work Logs section.
Once selected, the following Work Log pop-up will appear.
Fill out each field as indicated for the individual Work Log.
*Work logs fields may vary depending on the customer
After the Work Log has been filled out with all available information, remember to click "Save" at the bottom right. After saving, you should now see all saved Work Log entries in the table below and the summary report listed at the top.
Editing a Work Log
If a change needs to be made to an existing Work Log, simply hover over the row that contains the work log information you would like to edit.
Click to open the pop-up window again and make changes as needed.
The date is the only field that cannot be edited once a Work Log has been submitted. If an error has been made with the date, the Work Log should be deleted, and a new Work Log entered.
For all other changes, remember to click "Save" at the bottom right so those changes are updated.
