A high-level overview of the inspection process
Pilot Expectations
1. First and foremost, they are following all safety protocols and procedures set up by
your company as well as ours
2. Their job is to ensure a successful flight:
a. Safe flight
b. Flying the towers we are commissioned to fly
c. Capturing the full length of the blade including all four sides of all three blades
3. Pilots will be conducting inspections, not performing analysis of damages found.
Analysis of the blade will be done by SkySpecs Engineers once inspections are
completed.
4. Standard Operating hours are:
• Monday-Sunday
• Note: if the client can’t provide tech. support, please let us know.
Change of Scope:
What to expect if you would like to add or reduce turbines from the original
inspection scope
Increase of Scope:
1. Send request to support@skyspecs.com with site name and number of
turbines that you wish to add
2. The PO will need to be adjusted if funds do not cover requested increase
in turbines
3. If the scope change is more than 10 turbines, this is subject to availability,
a return visit may be required
4. Return to site fee: 2.000 € plus price per turbine
Decrease of Scope:
1. Applies if the decrease is more than 10 turbines or greater than 10% of the
original scope
2. Request to decrease more than 10 turbines or 10% must be submitted in
writing to support@skyspecs.com
Analysis and Annotations
1. Pilots review images nightly for clarity - if there is an issue with any of the
inspections performed, the pilot will refly the turbine in question the next day to
ensure high quality data
2. Data collected will go through our 3-step QC process (see chart below)
3. Our QC process takes approximately 7-10 business days to complete once our
pilots leave your site
4. Our support team will send you an email that indicates all of your data is available
and in our Horizon tool
5. Contact support@skyspecs.com with any additional questions
