The PDF feature at the top of the analytics page often crops out important information during the formatting process (see Fig 1. below), so this is an alternate way to download those images to ensure all information is preserved. This article can help those interested in downloading an image of a single widget or the entire dashboard from Horizon Analytics.
Fig. 1. Example of missing information in the pie chart due to formatting issues.
DOWNLOAD A SINGLE WIDGET
Step 1: Login to your Analytics account
Step 2: Navigate to the dashboard or widget you would like to export
Step 3: To download a single widget, navigate to the upper right hand corner of the widget box and click on the three vertical dots.
Step 4: Scroll to the Download bar option and click Image
Step 5: Retrieve the image from your Downloads folder on your computer. This will download as a PNG format and capture all necessary information.
DOWNLOAD A DASHBOARD
Step 1: Similar to downloading a single widget, once you are on the dashboard page, navigate to the top of the page (instead of the widget box) and click on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right hand corner.
Step 2: Scroll down to the Download option and click on the Download Image button
Step 3: Once the Download Image is clicked; a pop-up will appear. Keep only the first option checked and adjust the size of the image as needed, then click Download.
Step 4: Retrieve the dashboard image file from your Downloads folder on your computer. This will download as a PNG format.
Note: You may find that the dashboard file export image makes each section or widget too small for viewing. If this is the case, we recommend simply downloading the individual widgets that you need, or if you are an Analytics Editor, restructuring the dashboard to include only 5-6 most relevant widgets. If you are not an Editor but would like the dashboard reconfigured, reach out to the SkySpecs Solutions Team or the Analytics Editor within your organization
